Getting the best vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. East Lodge - Group Friendly!! Free Wifi and Cable TV included has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is best for your family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC beach you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
