Tricks and tips for getting the best rental experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in Beaufort. Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. BB's - Perfect Choice For Your Beaufort Vacation! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
