Our top Beaufort, NC rental property booking tips:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the largest rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • First, have your family choose dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Executive Home with Private Beach Access has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. Otherwise, email the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
