How to find the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

Finding the best value:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.

Planning and picking yourrental:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Intercostal Waterfront Getaway has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More tips for your stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
