Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and pick your prefectrental:

  • Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. King Suite-Unit 303 - Island Inn Atlantic Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
