BBQ instructions

I hope you are as excited about this BBQ as I am. If you just need to prepare some hotdogs and hamburgers, use the gas grille on the right side. But if you are true Grille master,
Please savor the smoky flavor of the wood pellet grille on the left.
Please be a responsible griller and clean the grille when you’re finished.
We keep a bin of wood pellets in the play room. If the bin is empty you can purchase more pellets at Lowes or Walmart.

Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summertime is high season in New Bern. Book your Beaufort, NC rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Little piece of heaven in your own back yard! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
