Our top Vacation rental booking tips:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. New Beaufort home at Beau Coast Retreat for ultimate comfort and fun! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC destination you long to visit, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
