How to book the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Reserve your Beaufort, NC rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best rental home:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Newly Remodeled Charming Beach Cottage with Private Pool in Historic Salter Path has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
