Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Get the best value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Ocean-front residence with unparalleled views has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If not, call the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
