Beaufort, NC rental property booking tips and tricks:

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Pine Knoll Shores. Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and choosing the perfectvacation home:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Hunt For The Best, Oceanfront House in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
