Tips to get the best Beaufort, NC rental experience:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 10 bdrm w\/Pool\/Elevator on The Point. Best Views on the Island! has 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If not, call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking

Tips for a great stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
