Tips to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To book the best rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.

Planning and choosing a perfect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Atlantic Beach, Sleeps 8, 500 Ft, Fishing Pier, Small pets with fee. has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Additional considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
