Tips and Tricks for getting the best rental experience:

Get the best value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Finding the best vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select your dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Atlantic Beach, Sleeps 8, 500 Ft, Fishing Pier, Small pets with fee. has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
