Rental home booking tips:

Getting the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Planning and picking a perfect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Lovely townhouse steps from the beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
