Tips to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. OCEANFRONT...Clean, Cozy, Comfy...Family Oriented, WELL MAINTAINED has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC destination you are enamored with, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
