Tips and Tricks for getting the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the perfect vacation home in Atlantic Beach:

  • To start, have your group agree to vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. SeaSpray 223, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If not, email or call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC attraction you crave, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
