Tricks and tips to get the perfect Atlantic Beach rental experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Beaufort, NC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and choose a perfectrental:

  • Choose vacation week and spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. SeaSpray 355, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
