Sticking to a budget:

  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book your prefect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • First, have your family choose dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. SeaSpray 355, Oceanview Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is best for your family.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
