Getting the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose and book your Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Pebble Beach G-202, Oceanside Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If not, contact the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
