How to find the best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Beaufort. Reserve your Beaufort, NC vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Reel Paradise, Mainland Townhouse in Beaufort, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is right for your group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC destination you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
