Tips to get the very best Beaufort, NC rental experience:

Get the best value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Emerald Isle. To find the best value, change your family's Beaufort, NC trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Sound Of The Sea East 107, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is best for your group.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
