Tricks and tips to get the perfect Pine Knoll Shores vacation home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • To get the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Blue Bungalow, Soundside House in Pine Knoll Shores in NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC beach you crave, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
