Strategies to get the very best Beaufort, NC rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking yourvacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Wine Down: 4BR, 3.5BA, Almost Oceanfront, Private Pool, Game Room! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
