Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Beaufort, NC rental experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Emerald Isle. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the perfectrental:

  • Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. The Gathering Place - 1 Block from Beach! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your contract.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
