Strategies to get the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the best rental home:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Four bedroom home and short walk to the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is best for your trip.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
