Beaufort, NC vacation rental home tips and tricks:

When to go & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • To find the best value, try shifting your family's Beaufort, NC vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the best Beaufort, NC rental:

  • To start, have your family agree to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. A Place At The Beach Unit 168 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC destination you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
