Strategies to get the optimal rental experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Selecting and booking your Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Great Location for Beach, Sun, and Fun! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your agreement.

More considerations:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
