Finding the best vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to select the perfect rental in Pine Knoll Shores:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. A Shore Gem-Oceanfront Oasis! Pool right out your front door! Amazing Views! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
