Our top Vacation rental home tips:

When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. Book your Beaufort, NC vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick a perfect Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. A Wave From It All - First Floor Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
