Rental home booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and pick your Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • Select your dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Amazing Views - OCEANFRONT 1\/2 Duplex! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
