Beaufort, NC vacation rental booking tips:

Get the best rental value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Indian Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Make a plan and choose the right Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Beach Front Condo With Wonderful Ocean View has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Call the host immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
