Our top Vacation rental home tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. To book the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Redone Luxury Waterfront at The Point w/ Heated Pool, Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Game Rm has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your family.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC beach you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.

Know before you go:

  • Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
