Strategies to get the perfect Beaufort vacation property experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Beachfront Condo with Amazing Views has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is best for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
