Beaufort, NC rental property booking tips:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summer time is high season in New Bern. To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, NC attractions.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking your Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful 2 bedroom condo in the resort community of Fairfield Harbour has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
  • Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
