Tips to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Beautiful cottage w\/ocean views - steps away from the beach! Dog Friendly! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, contact the host before booking your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC destination you crave, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
