Our top Beaufort, NC rental home booking tips and tricks:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the best rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Dog-friendly home with ocean/sound views and private beach path has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC destination you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
