Strategies to get the optimal Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

When to visit Emerald Isle & When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Ain't In No Hurry Today (Formerly, Dolphin's Lullaby), Oceanside House in Emeral has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you book your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC beach you love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
