Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, NC rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

How to choose and book a perfect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Prime Location 2nd row!!! Beautiful beach views from the deck!! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
