Totally remodeled and freshly furnished in 2024, oceanfront Emerald Isle Escape makes it simple to relax and appreciate the elegant, pristine beaches and crystal clear waters of Emerald Isle, one of the least busy beaches in the Southeast. Appreciate the ocean air and vistas from the outside decks of this oceanfront 5-bedroom, 4-bath duplex, or take a few steps down the sloping, private boardwalk, and you'll be on the sand!

The entry floor has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a laundry area. The cavernous oceanfront master suite has a king bed with storage, a sizable dresser and mirror, two bedside tables, a sitting chair, a closet, and a Intelligent TV. There is a slider to the deck and outside seating for two to listen to the waves and savor the impressive ocean vistas. The well-lit master bathroom has an upsized, single-bowl sink with plenty of storage and an additional shelving area to the left of the shower for towels and extras. The shower has two glass shelves for your supplies and a handheld showerhead.

The oceanfront queen bedroom on this floor has a queen-size storage bed, two bedside tables, a tall, narrow chest of drawers, and a Intelligent TV. There is room in the closet to store your suitcases but no hanging area because it's under the stairs. The slider in this room leads to the deck and outside seating and is shared with the master. The double bunk bedroom on this floor is ideal for families or additional guests. It is located on the roadside of the home and has a sizable chest of drawers, a bedside table, a Intelligent TV, and a closet.

The second bathroom on this floor for the queen and bunk rooms is well-lit and has some storage space to the right of the shower and under the vanity. It has a handheld showerhead and a curtain instead of a shower door to accommodate giving kids baths. The laundry area has a huge capacity washer and dryer. There are some laundry baskets, a Shark vacuum, a mop/broom, and an iron and ironing board if needed.

Up the stairs to the third floor, you'll find an open floor plan with the main living area, a dining area, a completely equipped kitchen, a queen bedroom, and a bathroom with a huge, tiled shower. Savor ocean vistas from the couches, dining, or kitchen, or open the slider and step out onto the deck and feel the breeze while you relax. There’s an outside table with 4 Adirondack chairs and two additional bar height Adirondack chairs to savor the outdoor space.

The living room area has seating for 12 with two upsized couches, two upsized chairs with enormous ottomans, an adjustable height coffee table, three end tables, and a 65" Intelligent TV with surround sound. The furnishings is really comfortable, and it’s a big enough space to hang out when you’re in from the beach.

The dining table is bar height and seats 6. The upsized bar has seating for 4 more and a lot of serving or workspace. The kitchen is entirely equipped with serve and cookware and has a Keurig, a huge griddle, a toaster oven/toaster combo, and an additional countertop ice maker in addition to the new frig/freezer with water and ice maker, sink disposal, dishwasher, microwave, and cooktop/oven. The kitchen has plenty of storage, and there's also a modest pantry closet right off the kitchen.

The queen bedroom on this floor has a queen storage bed, a chest of drawers, a bedside table, a closet, and a Intelligent TV. It does not have an ocean view, but it's the only bedroom on this floor and will use the bathroom with the biggest shower. The bathroom on this floor has an impressive, large tiled shower with seating and two shelves and a nice vanity with good lighting and storage.

Back down to the first floor, you'll find a large master suite with a living area and a full bath with shower. You do have to go outside of the home to get to this room, but it is really nice. Inside this separate entrance master suite, there's a king-size storage bed, a large dresser with a mirror, and two bedside tables, but it does not have a closet. There's also a comfortable sectional that pulls out into a full-size bed, a coffee table, and a 55" Intelligent TV. The bathroom for this suite has a shower with a modest seat and a handheld showerhead. This suite is ideal for when couples and families vacation together since it adds an additional inside living area and privacy. This suite has a private patio by the dunes with seating for two and a hammock, and the outside shower for the home is located to the right on the side of the home. The outside shower has hot and cold water, a rain head, a regular head, a foot wash, and a hose connection to wash you and your beach gear off.

This duplex has check-in on Sundays only so you can enjoy a full Saturday during your vacation.

Emerald Isle Escape was completely gutted and modernized inside and out including the front porch and boardwalk to the beach in 2024, and we have done our best to make it as nice and comfortable for your vacation home as possible. We even added an additional hot water heater so when everybody heads off the beach at the same time to grab dinner at a local favorite, you shouldn't run out of hot water! Every room has a ceiling fan and Intelligent TV, and all three floors have separate A/C controls. All bed linens including the comforters, shams, and throw pillows will be newly laundered after each stay. Besides being just steps from the ocean and uncrowded beach, the location of Emerald Isle Escape is great because as soon as you come off the EI bridge onto the island, you get into the right lane out of traffic, turn at the very first light, and are here in just a few mins.. You should be able to park 6 cars in the driveway.

As of April 1, 2024 all of the inside and outside structural renovations are complete, and the landscaping and driveway are set to be finished in just a few days. Pictures of the outside of the home, parking area, regular yard, outside shower, and oceanfront decks and beach will be added soon.

Please be mindful that, like all homes on EI, there are visitors and full-time residents around this rental. You should relax, let loose, and have a great time on vacation, but this is not a event home. Please enjoy yourself as we always have when we are on vacation, but be mindful that reckless or obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated. We hope you will make Emerald Isle Escape your vacation home and that it will be everything you want it to be with a pristine beach, warm sun, soft waves, a light breeze, and cozy accommodations. We sincerely hope you appreciate and enjoy being here as much as we do!

How to book the best Emerald Isle vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Beaufort, NC trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefectvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Emerald Isle Escape - New, Completely Renovated Oceanfront Duplex has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
