Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. Book your Beaufort, NC vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. King Suite-Unit 205 - Island Inn Atlantic Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you book the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC attraction you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
