Tips to get the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, NC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean Front 5BR Ensuites, Pool & Hot Tub, Game Room & Elevator! has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
