Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
• Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

• Walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.

If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
