Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer is high season in Pine Knoll Shores. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Selecting the best vacation home in Pine Knoll Shores:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Pine Knoll Townes 34, Townhouse with community pool has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your invoice.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
