How to find the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Emerald Isle. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and picking the rightvacation home:

  • First, have your family select a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Rx Pad, Soundfront House in Emerald Isle, NC! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
