Rental booking tips:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Reserve your rental in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefectvacation home:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Spacious pool view 4BR townhome, short walk to beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is optimal for your trip.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
