Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Beaufort, NC attractions and restaurants.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. The Lookout at Queens Court has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your family.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
