  • Private vacation home

2024 season now open!!! Stunning ocean vistas. Upscale luxury in a beach home with expansive seascape vistas. This oceanfront bungalow has been floor-to-ceiling refreshed with an fresh modern coastal vibe that was designed by Susie to keep all different styles of visitors in mind.

The beach home is completely private. And we are located well away from the hordes -- often the beach is completely empty in front of the home, accepting complete enjoyment of the white sandy beaches.

Clean lines and bespoke furnishings let the impressive 180-degree ocean vistas do all the talking. Two sets of sliding double doors open up to a sizable sunbathing deck with plenty of furnishings to savor the ocean breeze (and tan without the sand), while sipping your favorite drink.

Outdoor dining for two is also recommended if you like romance, as you have an unobstructed view of over 2 miles of coastline (great for taking vacation pics).

For your convenience, we boast the shortest walk to the sand you can buy on the island if you feel like walking down to the beach to check on your family. But where Susie's Hideaway East really shines is when you wake up from a vacation siesta to the unbeatable vistas of the sand and ocean from our bespoke-made napping couch.

Linens and towels are supplied. Also we are only 5 mins. on a walking path from a wine store, grocery stores, and eateries.

Susie's Hideaway East features all new kitchen with granite countertops, new appliances, new floor, new linens, ceiling fans, dishwasher, washer/dryer, 4 flat screen TVs, and wireless high-speed Internet access.

Susie's Hideaway is a duplex (with two sides, East and West). This listing is for the East side. It is completely private -- there are no shared or common areas. And we are located well away from the hordes -- often the beach is completely empty in front of the home, accepting complete enjoyment of the white sandy beaches!

Linens and towels are supplied.
Rents Saturday-to-Saturday only in the summer (June to August).

Hosts: Susie & William

Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Emerald Isle rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Book your Beaufort, NC rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Upscale Oceanfront, with Panoramic Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
