Our top Beaufort, NC vacation rental home tips and tricks:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, NC area. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking yourrental home:

  • Select vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Atlantic Beach Getaway has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
