How to find the best vacation property experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Planning and picking the perfectrental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Beachwalk 112, Oceanfront Condo in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
