How to book the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • To find the best value, consider changing your family's Beaufort, NC vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. TOP 5% rated, Nautical-themed Beaufort Bungalow near Downtown Beautiful Gardens has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.

More considerations:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Call the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
