Finding the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
