Tips to get the optimal Beaufort, NC rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, NC area. Book your Beaufort, NC rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and picking the best Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Family Fun in the Sun! Awesome Views! Escape II is ready for you! 4 BR & 2 BA! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
