Our top Vacation rental tips:

When to visit New Bern & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and choosing the best Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Fairfield Harbour resort with WI-FI and Recreation Center membership included has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
